Shiv Sena Leader Priyanka Chaturvedi SLAMS Adipurush’s Dialogue ‘Jalegi Tere Baap Ki’; ‘Apologise To The Nation’
Prabhas’ recent release ‘Adipurush’ has become the talk of the town. Despite roaring at the box office, Om Raut’s directorial is mired in several controversies owing to its poor VFX and disappointing dialogues. Recently, Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi slammed the film over its pedestrian dialogues. She has demanded an apology from the makers saying the dialogues have disrespected the sentiments of Hindus and that it hurts to see the kind of language being attributed to gods in the name of entertainment.

Priyanka tweeted, “The dialogue writer of Adipurush @manojmuntashir, as well as the director, should apologise to the nation for the pedestrian dialogues written for the movie, especially for Lord Hanuman. It hurts every Indian’s sensibilities to see the kind of language being attributed to our revered gods in the name of entertainment. You make a movie on Maryada Purushottam Ram and cross all boundaries of Maryada for quick box office success is unacceptable.” Reacting to her post, many Twitter users expressed their solidarity with the MP leader. One user commented, “Yes You are correct... They should apologise everyone...” ALSO READ: Saif Ali Khan Getting A ‘Python Massage’ In Adipurush Goes VIRAL On The Internet; Netizens Say, ‘Chalo Ye Bhi Dekh Lo’- WATCH Video

Meanwhile, in a recent interview, Adipurush’s writer Manoj Muntashir talked about the backlash over the film’s dialogues and stated dialogues went through a meticulous process to keep them as simple as they can get. He clarified that the story of Ramayana has been recited by our elders, grandparents, and even the biggest saints of the country in a similar language and fashion so he was not the first person to put it that way.

‘Adipurush’ which releases on Friday has reportedly collected Rs 85 crore on its opening day, with Rs. 60 crore from the Telugu version and Rs. 25 crore from the Hindi version.
